Lots of hard work this week! We had a little more work this week because of the snow days last week. We are wrapping up some units in Math and Writing and are looking forward to continuing to move ahead in our learning! HOMEWORK: New homework will be sent home on Monday, Feb. 2 and due back the 9th. We will be switching to Subtraction Facts for our Math Homework on Monday. Psalm 121 is being sent home Monday. Please use for devotions this month. *New words of the week will be coming home in the Homework Folder on Monday.  *Make sure  ALL  library books come back next week please! Snow Day Week!

Here is the updated blog for this week!  HOMEWORK: New homework will be sent home on Monday, Jan. 26 and is due Monday, Feb. 2. *Please practice Psalm 1 at home. *New words of the week will be coming home in the Homework Folder on Monday.  We will have our test on the 3rd 15 words on Monday, the 26th. Just in case you need the words for some extra practice they are: gone, sure, great, knew, watch, off, said, much, know, such, new, would, could, should, too. *Make sure  ALL  library books come back next week please! 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL: Thursday, February, 5 (if we have no snow days) will be our 100th day of school! Where has the time gone? We are looking forward to celebrating 100 days of God's faithfulness together! We have lots of fun activities planned, and one of them is dressing like we are 100 years old! I am amazed at how much the students have learned so far this year and they keep growing and growing! It's so fun to see how much we have accomplished so far this year! Our classroom community continues to grow close, just like a family. It has been so great to laugh together, support each other, and pray for each other. Welcome Back

  Welcome back everybody! I hope all of you had a wonderful and relaxing break, and that you also had some special moments to reflect on our Lord Jesus Christ and his amazing gift to us! Merry Chirstmas

Merry Christmas 2nd Grade Families! What an amazing week we've had together! We had a sweet chapel from the preschoolers and we have been finishing up some big projects in Writing and started a new math unit.  We also had lots of laughter and fun at our class Christmas Party! Thank you to Jessica Schutter, Emily Jones, and Danea Pena for planning some super fun things for our class Christmas party! We had lots of fun drinking hot chocolate together in the gym! The boys and girls are so excited to tell you all about all our adventures this week! Look for some pictures at the end of things we did this week! Homework: No homework due! We will start up after break! Library books are due on Jan. 7 Please make sure all books are returned after break! The most wonderful time of the year! It is, isn't it? We continue the hustle and bustle of all the things we need to get done at home and school, and it seems so crazy! We plan and plan and plan! God planned thousands of years in advance to make sure the wise men would see Jesus' star and find him, He planned thousands of years for Mary to bear a son. He has planned years in advance for his coming and the perfect timing of his return. God's timing is always better than ours. We continue to wait with anticipation for His coming again! Chapel

Christmas isn't about "hoping" for certain gifts and presents, but about a promised hope in our Savior. Our God always keeps His promises, and He is faithful! What a comfort that is! As a class we are taking time to slow down, and to reflect on God's goodness and faithfulness.  We had a lot of fun this week!
