Merry Chirstmas

Merry Christmas 2nd Grade Families! What an amazing week we've had together! We had a sweet chapel from the preschoolers and we have been finishing up some big projects in Writing and started a new math unit.  We also had lots of laughter and fun at our class Christmas Party! Thank you to Jessica Schutter, Emily Jones, and Danea Pena for planning some super fun things for our class Christmas party! We had lots of fun drinking hot chocolate together in the gym! The boys and girls are so excited to tell you all about all our adventures this week! Look for some pictures at the end of things we did this week!

Homework:

No homework due! We will start up after break!

Library books are due on Jan. 7 Please make sure all books are returned after break!


The kids cleaned out their lockers, there maybe some missing sweatshirts and other items coming home! 

I pray that you will have a blessed time with your family this Christmas. Stay safe, and make lots of fun memories together! Take time to rest, be still, and celebrate the birth of our Savior! I have thoroughly enjoyed journeying through our Christmas devotions with your child as we have been waiting for the arrival of our Savior. 

Thank you for the ways you've blessed me in 2025--for your love, support, prayers, Christmas gifts, emails, and most of all for entrusting your 2nd grader under my care each day. It's been a great year, and our God is so faithful! I look forward to what God has in store for us all in 2026!

Thank you!  I am so thankful for your love and support during this year! Your encouragement has blessed me so much...thank you. Thanks too, for entrusting your children under my care...they have been a joy to teach! This will be the last blog update for the school year! We will have a special end of the year Chapel to send off our 2nd graders on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 4. Come gather with us from 10:25-11:15am for a time of worship together. We’ll be out on the playground, so bring a lawn chair if you’d like (if there’s rain we’ll move it to the gym).  After chapel, Preschool students will be dismissed, and K-2 students will have a quick 15 minutes to close out the year in the classrooms with their teacher, and their dismissal will follow at 11:30am. Kid Town in the Gym

Happy Friday! What a fantastic week we have had in second grade! Kid Town has been a success and the students have enjoyed it immensely! We have seen wonderful examples of generous spirits and students who are polite and caring business boys/girls, and they have also been wonderful shoppers with a lot of patience. They have had a ton of fun learning about businesses and economics! Thanks so much to all the parent helpers who came in and were a banker so kids could get paid, glued items together, helped with ideas, ran stores, and helped us pack things up!! What a great week in 2nd grade! We have been working hard on our Conference packets and getting ready for meeting with our parents. What a blessing to see the students grow this year and it was so fun to see them share in the celebration of learning! Homework: Monday, March 24  a new reading slip and math homework page will come home and be due- March 31.  *Matthew 28.
