This will be the last blog update for the school year! I might just post some end of the year pictures though! We had a fun time on our field trip to the Cappon House and The Heritage Center at Graafschap CRC. Oh, and Captain Sundae was a fun time too. :) We had a fun time with our 5th grade buddies on Wednesday. So fun to getting to know the 5th graders this year! Check out all the pictures of our fun week at the end of the blog!
I am so thankful for your love and support during this year! Your encouragement has blessed me so much...thank you. Thanks too, for entrusting your children under my care...they have been a joy to teach!
Summer Packets:
I have summer packets available for your child to keep up with reading and math skills over the summer. These will be coming home next week Friday on our last day of school. Lots of fun activities to use over the summer!
FIELD DAY:
Field day this year is going to be held on the afternoon of June 1. Please send a water bottle for your child, dress for the weather, lather your child with sunscreen before they come to school, and pray for a nice day!
This is the day we do a lot of our cleaning in the classroom. Please send a reusable bag with your child's name on it so he/she will have a place to collect all the treasures that have been stored up! :) Please have it to school by June 1.
Chapel:
Mark your calendars! On the last day of school, June 3, there will be a special "goodbye" chapel for the 2nd graders from about 10:30-11:15am. This will be a beautiful time where we come together as students, teachers and parents and thank God for the gift of South Side and ask His blessing on the 2nd graders as they move on to Pine Ridge! We're planning this as an outdoor chapel, so pray for great weather and bring your lawn chair! It's always a special time to gather to celebrate our sweet 2nd graders, and we hope you'll be able to make it!
Dismissal will follow shortly at 11:30.
Final quarter report cards will go live on the last day of school. Make sure to keep an eye out for the email amidst of all the excitement!
