Full Week of School

It's been such a joy this week to watch the students dig deeper into some of the Old Testament Bible stories and they have loved making connections of how God used these events in each person's life to keep his covenant with his people.

Go Maroons!!

Here's what you need to know!

Homework:

Homework Folders came home for the first time on Monday, Sept. 9 and the work inside is due on Monday, Sept. 16.
Reminder- 100 minutes for Reading. This can be your child reading on his/her own OR you and your child taking turns.
Math papers- time each half and see how many correct.  The goal is to get faster at our facts each time.

Friday Folders come back to school on Monday!
Keep practicing Psalm 8, we have been learning the first 6 verses at school.
Library books due on Wednesdays!

SCHOOL PICTURES:
*Picture order forms came home last Friday, they are due by Monday, Sept 16. If you have multiple kiddos at HC, be sure to keep track of the pre-printed names on the order forms. Picture Day will be Wednesday, Sept. 18. IF YOU WANT A YEARBOOK, NOW IS THE PERFECT TIME TO ORDER IT! We need you to return the picture order forms even if you aren't ordering anything, and even if you are ordering online, as our photo company needs the paperwork for each student. Thanks!

Field Trip:
We will be heading to the ODC on Sept. 24 to learn about how seeds travel and will visit some animals. Students will need a lunch from home as we will be there all day. Please dress for the weather as we will go rain or shine!

Jungle Explorer of the Week:
Lennon was our Jungle Explorer of the Week! Thanks for sharing your
poster
and pictures with the class. We enjoyed getting to know more about you! We learned that you like to play sports, art, and baking. Your favorite food is sushi. Your favorite place is Mackinac Island and you want to be a singer when you grow up! You are so special to God and to us, Lennon, and we loved getting to know more about you this week!
