Leadership

Leadership. Our 2nd graders went to Maranatha church on Tuesday and we talked about how to be good leaders. We talked about how we can be leaders who act like Jesus and be an example for others. I love how being a leader means being an image reflector of Jesus. We all are leaders who can be an example of his love, mercy, and grace each day and by being an example we can share Christ with those around us. Read about it here- read about it here.

Homework:

Homework Folders came home on Monday, Nov. 3 and the work inside is due on Nov. 10.
*Reminder- 100 minutes for Reading. This can be your child reading on his/her own OR you and your child taking turns.
Math papers- time each half and see how many correct.  The goal is to get faster at our facts each time.

November's  Bible memory came home in the Homework Folder on Monday. Enjoy Psalm 100.

Library books due on Wednesdays!

Jungle  Explorer of the Week:
Kian was our Jungle Explorer of the Week! Thanks for sharing your poster and pictures with our class! We enjoyed getting to know you and learning that you like soccer, and you're good at basketball and your favorite food is pizza! Your favorite place to be is Florida! We love that you want to be a basketball player when you grow up! You are so special to God and to us, Kian, and we loved getting to know more about you this week!

Needed:
Our class is in need of toilet paper tubes for an upcoming activity in Dec. If you would collect them and send them in that would be super helpful!

Class Chapel-Community Lunch:

Right after our class chapel on Dec 4, our class families are invited to stay and eat together with the students in the gym. Bring your own lunch (or if you would like to order school lunches for your family email Rachel Steen in the office). The students will get their regular lunches and we can all eat together. This is a great opportunity to meet a family you don’t yet know!

Holland Christian High School’s Entrepreneurship class is raising money for Refuge on the Rock, an orphanage in Guatemala. Our students have been working hard to make quality products, home decor, and more, which you can see at HCdesigns.store. Thank you for your support!

Join Kim and Kristi, our TRIP coordinators, in the High School Media Center at 6:30 on Nov. 18 and learn all about the TRIP program. Please enter through Door A.
