Gratitude

Gratitude. A word we have talked about as we wrote in our Gratitude journals this week. We focused on how we can count our blessings from God and tell about them. But there is also a why behind some of the things that are important to us and we thought about not only the it, but also the why. So as we wrote in our Gratitude Journals we also reflected on why we are grateful for the people and things God has blesses us with each day. Homework:  Next week we'll stick with the usual: Purple Reading Slip will come home Monday ( and be due the next Monday, Dec. 1) Math Homework Page will come home Monday( and be due the next Monday, Dec. 1) We will start our 3rd set of 15 words. The first 3 coming home on Monday. Bible Memory: Psalm 100  Please practice this at home or use for your devotions during for Thanksgiving. Library books due Wednesdays! Thankfulness

Heaven. God. Stars. Family. Bible. Jesus. Friends. Teachers. A warm house. Sunsets. My grandparents. My dog. My Mom. My Dad. School. The beach. The sun. Snow. Fall. Leaves.   These are a few of the things that have spilled out of your child's heart as we have been reflecting on having a thankful heart over the last few days. God is SO good, isn't He?! It is truly a blessing having the opportunity to partner with you each day. Thanks for your love, support, and prayers for our classroom. Leadership

Leadership. Our 2nd graders went to Maranatha church on Tuesday and we talked about how to be good leaders. We talked about how we can be leaders who act like Jesus and be an example for others. I love how being a leader means being an image reflector of Jesus. We all are leaders who can be an example of his love, mercy, and grace each day and by being an example we can share Christ with those around us. Read about it here-  read about it here . Homework: Homework Folders came home on Monday, Nov. 3 and the work inside is due on Nov. 10.  *Reminder- 100 minutes for Reading. This can be your child reading on his/her own OR you and your child taking turns.   Math papers- time each half and see how many correct.  The goal is to get faster at our facts each time.
