Thankfulness

Heaven. God. Stars. Family. Bible. Jesus. Friends. Teachers. A warm house. Sunsets. My grandparents. My dog. My Mom. My Dad. School. The beach. The sun. Snow. Fall. Leaves.

These are a few of the things that have spilled out of your child's heart as we have been reflecting on having a thankful heart over the last few days. God is SO good, isn't He?! It is truly a blessing having the opportunity to partner with you each day. Thanks for your love, support, and prayers for our classroom. I am thankful for YOU, for your investment in sending your child to HC each day, and for partnering with me to help your little grow to know and love Jesus.

Homework:

Next week we'll stick with the usual:
Purple Reading Slip will come home Monday (due Monday, Nov. 24)
Math Homework Page will come home Monday (due Monday, Nov. 24)

We will have a test on our 15 words next week Friday, Nov. 21. Please practice words your child may need more work on at this time.

Bible Memory: Psalm 100 Please practice this at home or use for your devotions during the month of November.

Library books due Wednesdays!

Please make sure to return your child's Friday Folder each Monday. I am running low on my Forgetful Friday Folders.

Jungle  Explorer of the Week:

Breslyn was our Jungle Explorer of the Week! Thanks for sharing your poster and pictures with our class! We enjoyed getting to know you and learning that you like to swim, you like sports and school, and your favorite food is manicotti! Your favorite place to be is Disney! We love that you want to be an artist when you grow up! You are so special to God and to us, Breslyn, and we loved getting to know more about you this week!

Needed:
Our class is in need of toilet paper tubes for an upcoming activity in Dec. If you would collect them and send them in that would be super helpful!

Class Chapel-Community Lunch: Chapel is from 10:40-11:10am

Right after our class chapel on Dec 4, our class families are invited to stay and eat together with the students in the gym. Bring your own lunch (or if you would like to order school lunches for your family email Rachel Steen in the office). The students will get their regular lunches and we can all eat together. This is a great opportunity to meet a family you don’t yet know!

Kingdom Bringing Opportunity with Community Action House

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news! This season, we’ll be serving as a collection

site for Community Action House’s Winter Gear Drive. At Holland Christian, part of our

mission is to “transform the world for Jesus Christ"and we’re eager to give our students a tangible way to live that out by helping care for

those in need right here in our community. If you’d like to join us, you can find all the details—

including a list of needed donations—in the flier linked here

The donation box will be available starting on November 17 and be at South Side through

December 1. Together, we can help bring a piece of God's kingdom to our local community.

Opportunity

Holland Christian High School’s Entrepreneurship class is raising money for Refuge on the Rock, an orphanage in Guatemala. Our students have been working hard to make quality products, home decor, and more, which you can see at HCdesigns.store. Thank you for your support!
