Forgiveness, jealousy, loving others...these are all some of the amazing topics that we've discussed over the last few weeks in Bible class. The students are learning about some of the parables of Jesus. What a blessing this has been as your child's teacher--to see the faith of 2nd graders grow and stretch! God is good and He is working each and every day in your child's life!


Jungle Explorer of the Week:

Foster was our special Jungle Explorer of the Week! Thanks for sharing your poster and pictures with our class. We enjoyed getting to know you and learning that you love playing soccer with friends, your favorite place is The Lost City, and your favorite foods are found at Wild Chef! We love that you want to be a soccer player when you grow up! You are so special to God and to us, Foster, and we loved getting to know more about you this week!

BOOK FAIR: 

Winter is Coming! Get ready to hunker down with a pile of good books! Parent Board will be hosting a Book Fair the week of November 15. Families of SS and PR are welcome to shop Wednesday and Thursday, November 17/18 from 3:00-4:15. Proceeds will help keep our classroom libraries stocked!

The most wonderful time of the year! It is, isn't it? We continue the hustle and bustle of all the things we need to get done at home and school, and it seems so crazy! We plan and plan and plan! Grandparents/Friends

We had a fun visit from the 8th grade orchestra kids today! They played some songs for us and let the 2nd graders get up close to the instruments! They showed the 2nd graders how to play their instruments and then the 2nd graders played a song! Super fun! Look for pictures of this at the end of the blog. We had a super fun time with our grandparents/friends on Thursday! What a pleasure to see the beautiful connection between the generations! So much love to go around! The kids had so much fun being with them and singing for them!   Homework: Homework Folders came home on Monday, Oct. 7 and the work inside is due on Oct. 14.  *Reminder- 100 minutes for Reading. This can be your child reading on his/her own OR you and your child taking turns.   Math papers- time each half and see how many correct.  The goal is to get faster at our facts each time.
