It's been another fun week! Here's a shout out to all you wonderful mamas! We hope you enjoy the gift that we made for you when you open it this weekend for Mother's Day! :) The kiddos really enjoyed making it and loved the way it turned out. At school we constantly notice the love, care, and support that you provide for your child. Enjoy the time spent celebrating YOU this weekend!

National Day of Prayer:

On Thursday we gathered as K-2 classes to pray for our nation and our school! What a blessing to have the freedom to pray and gather in worship! Continue to pray for our leaders and that they may seek God's wisdom in all their decisions.

Homework:

*Monday your child will take home a new purple reading slip and a new math page. These will both be due on Monday, May 16.

*Our new Bible Memory passage from Galatians about the Fruit of the Spirit came home this past Monday.

LIBRARY BOOKS:
Friday, May 6 was our last day of Library checkout for books. We will still spend time in the Library, but will not have checkout time. All books are due by Friday, May 13.

MOVIN' UP DAY:
Movin' Up Day is a special day for 2nd graders...they get an opportunity to visit Pine Ridge, take a tour, peek into the third grade classrooms, and settle any anxious thoughts they may have about moving to a new school next year. Our time to head over and check things out will be the morning of Tuesday, May 31. I'm sure you'll hear lots of great stories about the students' visit!

FIELD DAY:
Field day this year is going to be held during the last week of school. More details will come as it gets closer!

Tulip Time:
We are getting excited about the Kinder Parade! A pink sheet is coming home with details about next week Thursday! Look for it in your child's Friday Folder!
Thanks for returning the other slips! I have everyone's!

Cinco De Mayo:
We had a great time at Pine Ridge on Thursday for the Cinco De Mayo celebration put on by the Spanish Immersion students! We learned lots of information and saw how the Hispanic culture celebrates and the wonderful people God has made! Check out some pictures at the end of the blog!
