Welcome Back! We are so thankful for God's provision for all of us over Spring Break! It's been so fun to hear about all the different adventures that we had over break! God is good! Happy Easter to all of you! Our God is so amazing and we have spent time this week looking at how much Jesus loved us and we have finished up our Easter stories.

Our Field trip to Hand2Hand was a huge success! The kids were great listeners and workers. We heard about how Hand2Hand helps students who don't have enough food over the weekend and they help 10,500 students each week! What a blessing they are to the schools, the students, and their families! Our kids worked on packing the snack packs that are handed out each week to kids. They packed 1152 packs! The volunteers at Hand2Hand were impressed with how well they worked! I was very proud of the 2nd graders and the heart they had to help! They were a great example of Servant Living and they learned they can make a difference for God's kingdom! Check out pictures at the end of the blog!

Kid Town Homework:
*Today in your child's Friday Folder, is your child's first set of Kid Town Homework. This packet contains your child's work for the week of April 20-24. It includes information about how Kid Town Homework goes. Kid Town Homework is for each day. Your child is responsible for returning a reading and math slip each day and memorizing a Bible memory to say each day, to earn money for Kid Town. This Homework is optional, but will make a difference in how much money they earn for each week. Reading slips must be signed by a parent to count towards their earnings. Next Friday we will send home the Homework Packet for the week of April 27-May 1.

Kid Town:
Thanks so much to all of the parents that signed up to help! Kid Town could not work without all of you! We have a few more slots open if there are some parents who would like to still help out or sign up for another slot. Check out the link below!

Tulip Time:

If you have chosen to be in the “Dutch Heritage” section, remember that you’ll need to wear a Dutch costume. If you chose the “Tulip” section for the parade, you will want to make sure that you have your Holland Christian Walk-a-thon t-shirt ready to go. Wednesday, May 6 will be a full day for all students due to Tulip Time removing the Wednesday parade. On Thursday, May 7, school will be dismissed for kindergarteners and Y5 at 11:30am. 1st and 2nd graders will remain at school, eat a sack lunch from home, have recess, change into their apparel (if they choose not to wear it to school that day), and be bussed to the parade route. More information will come as we get closer to the parade.

The week of May 4-8 is the last week for students to borrow books from South Side Library.
