We have been studying the Lord's Prayer in Bible class this week and it's been such a gift to be able to talk to the students about prayer and why we pray.  We've also been learning about what the Lord's Prayer means and the what those words mean when we pray them, and how Jesus teaches us to pray. What a blessing and comfort we have in these words from our Lord! We are all so thankful to be at a Christian School where our faith in Jesus grows deeper each day as we learn more about Him through His Word!

Jungle Explorer:

Dawson was our special Jungle Explorer of the Week! Thanks for sharing your poster and pictures with our class. We enjoyed getting to know you and learning that you like fishing, hiking, and playing baseball. We love that you want to be a builder when you grow up! Your favorite place is Michigan's upper peninsula and your favorite food is cinnamon rolls. You are so special to God and to us, Dawson, and we loved getting to know more about you this week!






Attention:

Now that our morning commutes are darker this season, and since we so value the safety of our student pedestrians and cyclists in the morning, can we please ask a favor? We ask that student cyclists wear reflective clothing, and even have a light on their bikes. In addition, student and adult pedestrians please take extra care when crossing streets and parking lots, especially when in close proximity to our buses. Our bus drivers and drop-offs definitely want to remain accident-free! 


Moms in Prayer:

Moms In Prayer (MIP) is a ministry of HC that meets every Friday and they are coming to South Side! MIP is a great way to connect with other moms, pray for your child, and have an impact on our school. We will be meeting next Friday, November 10 from 8:30-9:30 in the South Side library and would love to have you join us. Contact Nicole Shook with any questions at ncshook@gmail.com

Thank you!  I am so thankful for your love and support during this year! Your encouragement has blessed me so much...thank you. Kid Town in the Gym

Happy Friday! What a fantastic week we have had in second grade! Kid Town has been a success and the students have enjoyed it immensely! We have seen wonderful examples of generous spirits and students who are polite and caring business boys/girls, and they have also been wonderful shoppers with a lot of patience. They have had a ton of fun learning about businesses and economics! Thanks so much to all the parent helpers who came in and were a banker so kids could get paid, glued items together, helped with ideas, ran stores, and helped us pack things up!! What a great week in 2nd grade! We have been working hard on our Conference packets and getting ready for meeting with our parents. What a blessing to see the students grow this year and it was so fun to see them share in the celebration of learning!
