God is good! All the time! We use these words as our call to prayer each day and it is a good reminder for all us. Even when bad things happen God walks with us and is always near us. He has chosen us and loves us all the time. We have seen how God used many situations in the Bible that were bad, and then turned used them for good and to help others know Jesus. What a wonderful reminder of His goodness and love!

 Homework:

Homework Folders will come home again on Monday October 13,  and the work inside will be due the following Monday, Oct. 20. 

100 minutes for Reading. 
Math papers- time each half and see how many correct.  
We will start the 2nd set of 15 words. Blue half slip with the next three words.

Friday Folders come back to school on Monday!
Practice Psalm 23, it's a beautiful Psalm!

Grandparents Day:
Just a reminder Grandparents/Grandfriends Day is on Monday Oct. 13!


Jungle Explorer of the Week:
Caleb Z. was our Jungle Explorer of the Week! Thanks for sharing your poster and pictures with the class. We enjoyed getting to know more about you! We learned that you like battleship and you're good at soccer and football. Your favorite food is spaghetti. Your favorite place is the Disney Land and you want to be an engineer when you grow up! You are so special to God and to us, Caleb Z., and we loved getting to know more about you this week!

Lost and Found
The office is continuing to update our South Side Lost and Found Album as items come into the gray tub in the office. Please check it out to see if any of these items belong to your child. Feel free to email Rachel Steen, to claim your item(s), and we will be sure to get it into your child’s backpack.

Thank you!  I am so thankful for your love and support during this year! Your encouragement has blessed me so much...thank you. We will have a special end of the year Chapel to send off our 2nd graders on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 4. Come gather with us from 10:25-11:15am for a time of worship together. Kid Town in the Gym

Happy Friday! What a fantastic week we have had in second grade! Kid Town has been a success and the students have enjoyed it immensely! We have seen wonderful examples of generous spirits and students who are polite and caring business boys/girls, and they have also been wonderful shoppers with a lot of patience. They have had a ton of fun learning about businesses and economics! Thanks so much to all the parent helpers who came in and were a banker so kids could get paid, glued items together, helped with ideas, ran stores, and helped us pack things up!! What a great week in 2nd grade! We have been working hard on our Conference packets and getting ready for meeting with our parents. What a blessing to see the students grow this year and it was so fun to see them share in the celebration of learning! Homework: Monday, March 24  a new reading slip and math homework page will come home and be due- March 31.  *Matthew 28.
